Testimonials

Here are some testimonials from some of the goalkeepers I have worked with who have gone on to play for academies and elite player development centres.

Garry Malone (u'15 goalkeeper)
"I have trained with Reece Kirk both in a group environment and in one to one sessions and found his goalkeeping training interesting, challenging and fun. Reece’s attention to detail and preparation has definitely helped to improve my technical ability and understanding of the game and I would recommend his Goalkeeping School and Goalkeeping Training Sessions to Goalkeepers of all ages and all levels of ability"

Gordon Alexander (father of Sam 11)
"Sam had been the goalkeeper at a local club for several years, but had not had specialist coaching before the start of the 2009/10 season when his coach sent us details of RK's Goalkeeping School. Sam started attending and Reece taught him the correct goalkeeping techniques, reinforced by numerous carefully designed drills. Soon afterwards Sam was invited to join the Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust Player Development Centre and from there progressed to a group of players preparing for trial at the Watford FC Academy, followed by the trial itself. Finally, in November 2010 he was invited to join the Academy

Reece's coaching sessions are very well organised and are packed full of top quality coaching and drills with no time wasted. I would recommend that any junior Sunday club goalkeeper wishing to progress should attend."

Jordan Page (14)
"Jordan first contact with Reece was in March 2008 when he became part of Reece's group in the Watford FC Goalkeeping Development Squad. He immediately benefitted from Reece's coaching and in order for him to develop his goalkeeping skills further we set up one-to-one sessions with Reece in January 2009. This resulted in significant improvements in Jordan's goalkeeping technique and fitness that resulted in him being invited to trials for the Watford FC Academy in April 2009.

Jordan's trial period was successful and he now trains with the U14's Academy squad, whilst also maintaining the one-to-one sessions with Reece. Reece combines an ability to run high intensity, fun sessions with excellent technical knowledge. He organises the sessions to suit the player's age and ability and I would recommend him as a great coach for all aspiring goalkeepers"

Jack Walsh (9)
"I have been training with Reece since August 2009 His sessions have improved my technique, positioning and given me more confidence. Reece is a hard working but fair coach who aims to get the best out of all goalkeepers he works with. Reece has changed the way I play, improved my technique and my performance overall in training and match situations. I would recommend Reece’s goalkeeping school/ sessions to any aspiring goalkeeper"

Mick Golden, father of Rory Golden (aged12)
"Just over a year ago Rory started to train with Reece Kirk ,on a Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust (WFC CSE Trust) goalkeeping course. What a year it has been, the training that Rory underwent with Reece Kirk was far superior to any other training Rory had had in the past. The technical scope, the speed and the sheer content of the exercises were of a top professional standard. After 12 weeks of intense training, Reece put Rory forward for a 6 week trial with Watford FC’s Academy, Rorys trial was successful, after 6 weeks he was rewarded with a 2 year contract.

During the summer of 2009 Rory was invited to join a Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust team to play in two tournaments in Germany. One of the tournaments the team won outright, the other tournament consistied of top European outfits such as Eintracht Frankfurt and F.C Kaiserslautern (Germany), F.C Twente (Holland) and F.C Luzern (Switzerland).

Rory was voted Goalkeeper of the tournament and the team walked away with the Fraport Cup 2009

We owe so much of Rorys success going from Sunday league football to academy in just 12 weeks. We would recommend his Goalkeeping School and training sessions to goalkeepers of all ages and abilities"

Ryan Reid
"Since Ryan started training with RKs Goal keeping school – we have seen a huge improvement in his keeping ability. Ryan takes a much more focused approach to his training and matches – his own team have also seen a positive change with Ryan which has lead to him being a key leader to the team.

Watford scouts have also come out to watch Ryan play in a number of matches – and have advised us they will continue to attend his pre-season and league matches, this is another result of all the work put in by RK goal keeping school.

We look forward to building on the successes with RK goal keeping school over the coming months and throughout the 2010 / 2011 soccer season."

Richard Hunt, father of Ben (10)
"As a level 2 coach I felt my son Ben required a specialist goalkeeping coach to improve his technique. Reece quickly spotted technical problems, corrected them and within weeks Ben went from Junior club to Academy level. Ben's still training with the Academy 9 months on, and I can't recommend Reece highly enough. Superb!"

Kyle Holden (u 9’s goalkeeper)
"Kyle has been training with Reece for over 3 months. Prior to joining RK’s Goalkeeping School, Kyle had trials with the MK Dons and QPR. The training that Reece offers is great as it’s up to an academy standard, so while Kyle was between trials he maintained his sharpness. The main improvement I have noticed in Kyle is his footwork, as all sessions are very focused on working at a high intensity. I would recommend RK’s Goalkeeping School to any level of goalkeeper, from starter all the way through to academy standard"
Where is he now: Signed at Leyton Orient Academy
